Our way is peace

CIM TEAM On September - 19 - 2014

From Saturday the 13th to Thursday the 18th of September the 5th international Peace Week was hosted by CIM in Sanski Most. With film screenings, concerts and several other activities CIM tried to raise awareness for the need of peace building in Bosnia & Herzegovina and celebrated its 10th anniversary.

Public Gatherings:

  1. Opening-ceremony, including the volunteer and donor of the year award, a concert by Harmonija and Melody choir at Palazzo Café on Saturday evening.
  2. Coffee for Peace at Palazzo Café
  3. ‘Stand Up for Peace in the World’ at the small Park

 

Presentations and Workshops:

4. Workshop with Amra Pandžo on having power, being powerless and solving problems together on Sunday

5. Workshops for young people on peace building HC Banja Luka

6. Presentation on Martin Luther King jr., civil rights and peace building by Vahidin Omanović on Monday

7. Presentation on the role of storytelling in peace building by Adelina Stuparu on Wednesday

 

Art events:

8. Public painting with children, painting their Ideas of peace (check link below)

9. Film screening of ‘Prijedor Summer’ at ‘Fenix’ centre with director Enes Hotić on Wednesday

10. Film screening of ‘Noah’ at the CIM office on Tuesday

 

We had a great and inspiring Peace Week. But we’ll try to improve and to make it even better in the next year.
