Our way is peace

CIM TEAM On March - 3 - 2020

A two-day activity called “Building the Future Together” completed by members of the Team Olovo, participants of the Peace Camp and Caravan held last December, has ended on the first of March..

During the first day, young people had the opportunity to learn about the concept of peacebuilding. They also participated in workshops on prejudice and how faith affects reconciliation and dialogue. On the second day, the participants visited religious sites and talked with religious leaders about the process of reconciliation through the religious aspect.

Kerim Durakovic, participant of the activity said: “I think the activities of this caliber are very good and positive for our society, because as such they can create an excellent foundation for peace building. I believe that without such workshops, peacebuilding cannot be done at all, and that in every community they are welcome no matter how big they are. Likewise, we, in Olovo, as a smaller community, have contact with other ethnic groups, so I believe that this workshop will prepare us and make us better people towards others as well as ourselves. Also, I think we will feel better if we are socially coherent. In the end, I can say that this organization brings a lot of good to all the communities in which it operates. “

#STaRBiH (Societal Transformation and Reconciliation) project is supported by USAID BiH and implemented by Karuna Center for Peacebuilding in cooperation with PRONI Center for youth development, Inicijativa mladih za ljudska prava u BiH – YIHR BiH, Mali koraci – Small Steps and Center for Peacebuilding.
