Our NGO started an educational program called Peace Camp in 2004. These weeklong retreats bring together individuals from different ethnic backgrounds to meet and discuss taboo topics related to conflict in BiH. Participants have the rare opportunity to discuss the history of war and ethnically based prejudice in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), while learning skills in nonviolent conflict resolution. Building trust is the foundation of the peace camp experience, and administrators trained in nonviolent communication act as facilitators and guides. These camps have been extremely helpful in the past, but true progress requires sustained effort on behalf of the participants…

Volunteer Club

The volunteers of the Center for Peacebuilding participated in numerous projects and activities . They participated in the REgeneracija project, one of the Center for Peacebuilding’s partner organizations. Our volunteers received a grant for the project, and together with the youth from Drvar they participated in workshops and other activities related to the breaking of stereotypes and prejudices. As the final activity of the REgeneracija project, the primer of a documentary filmed in Sanski Most and Drvar was organized. ..

This project primarily focuses on recording and archiving the life stories of people who have a memory of the war period, as well as exchanging experiences, stories and critical reviews of trauma during workshops, in order to promote peace, emphatic understanding, and human action during the war, ultimately contributing to holistic healing. Project implementation will last two years and will take place in two cities (Prijedor and Banja Luka) and two municipalities (Sanski Most and Ključ) in the Sana River Valley.
